What happens, step by step

- Otoscopy: a quick, painless look into each ear and at the eardrum.
- Pure tone audiometry: you press a button for soft beeps through headphones, then through a small vibrator behind the ear.
- Speech testing: how well you follow words, not just whether you hear sound.
- The result explained: your audiogram, in plain language, and what (if anything) to do next.
