Check whether a hearing aid price is for one aid or for a pair. Manufacturer price lists in India mix both: many models are priced per ear, while others are sold as a 'kit' of two aids, usually with a charger. If you compare a per-ear price on one quote with a pair price on another, you will misjudge which is cheaper. Always ask the seller to state the total for both ears.

Why the confusion happens

Per-ear listing: the MRP is for a single hearing aid. Most people with hearing loss in both ears need two.
Kit or pair listing: two aids sold together, typically rechargeable with a charging case.
Marketing headlines often quote the lower per-ear figure, while the real cost for two ears is double.

Real examples from manufacturer price lists

Unitron Moxi V1-R: ₹62,000 MRP each, or ₹1,04,000 for a pair kit.
Signia Motion C&G 1X: ₹59,990 MRP each, or ₹1,04,990 for a pair kit.
Phonak Terra: ₹33,000 MRP each. Phonak Audéo L30-R is a pair kit at ₹1,38,000 MRP, a different, more advanced product.

Notice that a pair kit is not always exactly two singles. Kits often include a charger and are priced differently, so compare like for like.

MRP vs what you actually pay

MRP is the manufacturer's printed price. Clinics sell below it.
