Audéo Infinio is Phonak's newer platform on a smaller, faster chip; Audéo Lumity is the previous generation and costs about ₹1,38,000 for a pair at MRP against ₹1,54,000 for the cheapest Infinio pair. Buy Infinio if you want the current platform and the longer warranty; Lumity is a strong value buy at the entry and mid tiers.

Short answer. Audéo Infinio runs on Phonak's new ERA chip and comes in a smaller case with a 4-year warranty from level 50 upward. Audéo Lumity is the previous Phonak generation on the PRISM chip and remains on the 2026 price list because it still fits well and costs less. If you want the current platform and the newer AutoSense OS 6.0, buy Infinio. If you want a current-generation Phonak rechargeable at the lowest entry price, Audéo L30-R starts at ₹1,38,000 for a pair at MRP.

Both aids use Phonak's SmartSpeech features and the myPhonak app. The sound philosophy is the same. What changes between generations is the chip, the case size and some processing speed.

Is Phonak Infinio worth paying more for over Lumity?

Yes, if you are at the premium level. At I90/L90 the Infinio chip has more horsepower for Phonak's AI noise handling and the case is slightly slimmer. At the entry level the gap is smaller: both pairs cost about the same and the Lumity L30-R is a well-proven aid.

Our Phonak Infinio vs Lumity vs Paradise post has the three-generation picture if you are also looking at an older used aid.

How much is the price difference at each level?

Phonak 2026 India price list. Figures are for a pair with a standard Charger; the ChargerGo premium variant adds about ₹6,000 at every level. Prudent sells both at up to 20–30% below MRP.
LevelAudéo R Infinio (pair, Charger kit)Audéo Lumity (pair, kit)Infinio premium
Entry (30)₹1,54,000₹1,38,000₹16,000
Core (50)₹2,56,000₹2,40,000₹16,000
Advanced (70)₹4,44,000₹4,20,000₹24,000
Premium (90)₹6,70,000₹6,30,000₹40,000

At every level, Infinio is 3–8% more expensive than Lumity for the same pair, before Prudent's discount. The real decision is at the premium end, where the Infinio chip earns its ₹40,000 premium if your harder listening is in busy, noisy places.

Which one sounds better?

At the same level, most new users find them close. The myPhonak app and the sound character are the same family. Infinio has slightly faster processing for AutoSense scene detection, which some users notice as a cleaner handover between quiet rooms and busy ones. If you can wear each one in your own kitchen, your own car and your own restaurant for 10 minutes each, you will know in a morning.

Does Audéo Infinio connect with more phones?

No. Both Infinio and Lumity use Phonak's universal Bluetooth, which pairs with almost any phone — iPhone, Android, basic phones that only talk the Classic Bluetooth. For hands-free calls, both work. If universal Bluetooth is why you want a Phonak, Lumity gives you the same thing for less.

In our clinics we see a clear split: buyers under 60 who are updating from a 5-year-old aid lean to Infinio for the newer chip and the slimmer case, while buyers over 70 who want a known-good Phonak often take Lumity, especially at the L30 and L50 levels, and put the saved money into a 4-year protection plan.

How to decide between Audéo Infinio and Audéo Lumity

  • Choose Audéo Infinio if you want the newest Phonak chip, the smaller case, and the longest effective life (because you are the kind of buyer who keeps aids for 6+ years).
  • Choose Audéo Lumity if you want a proven current-generation Phonak at the lowest MRP for a pair, or if you have decided on the L30/L50 level where the generation difference is smallest.
  • Consider the Phonak Audéo Sphere Infinio if your main problem is restaurant and group conversation, and you have a top-tier budget; see also our Phonak Sphere Infinio vs Signia Pure Charge&Go IX comparison.

Final verdict

If you want the current generation and the smaller case, Infinio is the pick and the premium is worth it from I50 upward. If you want the lowest entry-level price on a current-generation Phonak rechargeable, Lumity L30-R still earns its spot at ₹1,38,000 a pair; for the top tier, see the Phonak Audéo Lumity L90 model page.

Both come to the same clinic and the same audiologist, so the real question is what you hear with each on your ears, and that is what the free hearing test is for. Full prices are on our Phonak price list and the Phonak Audéo Sphere Infinio review has deeper notes on the Sphere variant.
