Phonak Audéo Sphere Infinio

The Audéo Sphere Infinio is Phonak's top-of-the-range receiver-in-canal aid, launched on the new Infinio platform. Its headline is a second dedicated chip (DEEPSONIC) that runs Spheric Speech Clarity, an AI noise-reduction mode built for the hardest situation in hearing care: following one voice in loud background noise. It comes in two tiers, I90 and I70, both rechargeable with Bluetooth. Read this before buying: it is a genuinely strong aid for noisy settings, but it is also the most expensive aid we fit, and not everyone needs this much.

What the Sphere Infinio is

A plain look at what this model actually gives you, based on Phonak's own spec sheet.

  • Style

    Flagship rechargeable RIC

A receiver-in-canal aid worn behind the ear with a thin wire to the canal, rechargeable with an overnight case.

  • Noise

DEEPSONIC chip + Spheric Speech Clarity

A second dedicated processor runs Spheric Speech Clarity, an AI mode that separates one voice from loud background noise. This is the real reason to pay for a Sphere.

  • Connectivity

    Bluetooth + Roger on board

Streams calls and audio from phones, and connects directly to Roger microphones for very noisy rooms and long distances, with no extra receiver.

  • Levels

    I90 and I70 tiers

I90 is the full-feature top tier; I70 keeps the DEEPSONIC chip but with fewer automatic programs, at a lower price.

  • Range

    S/M/P/UP receivers

Four receiver powers cover roughly mild through to profound loss (S-47, M-51, P-59, UP-71), so one family fits a wide range of ears.

  • Warranty

    4-year warranty

Genuine units carry a 4-year manufacturer warranty, the longest in the Phonak RIC range.

Who it suits (and who should look elsewhere)

An honest fit check, so the money goes to the right device.

  • Good fit

    You struggle most in noise

If restaurants, meetings and groups are where you lose the thread, Spheric Speech Clarity is built for exactly that, and it is the best reason to choose this aid.

  • Good fit

    You want the newest chip

The Infinio platform is Phonak's current flagship. If you want the most future-ready aid Phonak makes, this is it.

  • Good fit

You use Roger in tough rooms

Lecture halls, large meetings or a noisy workplace pair well with Roger microphones, which this aid connects to directly.

  • Look elsewhere

    Your days are mostly quiet

If you are mainly at home in one-to-one conversation, you are paying for noise processing you will rarely use. The Audéo Lumity L90 or L70 gives you excellent sound for much less.

  • Look elsewhere

    Budget is the deciding factor

This is the most expensive aid we fit. If cost matters more than top noise performance, step down to Lumity, or to the Terra for a first pair.

  • Reminder

    It manages, not cures

Even at the top of the range, a hearing aid manages your loss; it does not cure it. We say this plainly so expectations are right.

How the Sphere Infinio compares

Where the flagship sits next to its Phonak siblings and the honest step-down options.

  • Step down, value

    Audéo Lumity L90

The previous flagship. Superb everyday sound and full Bluetooth, without the dedicated Spheric chip, at a much lower price. For most people this is the value sweet spot.

  • Invisible, non-wireless

    Virto I90 CIC (custom)

If you want the newest chip in the most invisible shell instead of behind-the-ear, the custom Virto I90 is the hidden option, but it is non-wireless.

  • Budget RIC

    Phonak Terra RIC

A first pair on a budget: an entry Bluetooth RIC that covers the basics well, for a fraction of the Sphere's price.

Frequently asked questions

How much does the Phonak Audéo Sphere Infinio cost in India?

Phonak's price list shows the Sphere Infinio I90 at about Rs 8,75,000 for the pair, roughly Rs 4,37,500 per ear as a reference; the I70 tier is lower, around Rs 2,95,000 per ear. At Prudent you get up to 20-30% off MRP, and because hearing aids are GST-exempt (HSN 9021) there is no tax on top. Your exact price is confirmed at your appointment, and 0% EMI is available.

What is the difference between the Sphere Infinio and the Audéo Lumity?

The Sphere Infinio adds a second dedicated chip (DEEPSONIC) that runs Spheric Speech Clarity, an AI mode built for following one voice in loud noise. The Lumity is the previous flagship with excellent everyday sound and full Bluetooth, but without that dedicated noise chip, at a much lower price. If noise is your biggest problem, the Sphere is worth trialling; if your days are mostly quiet, the Lumity L90 is the value choice.

Does it have Bluetooth and support Roger?

Yes. It streams calls and audio over Bluetooth and connects directly to Phonak Roger microphones with no extra receiver, which helps a lot in lecture halls, large meetings and very noisy rooms.

Is it rechargeable?

Yes. The Audéo Sphere Infinio is a rechargeable receiver-in-canal aid with an overnight charging case.

What hearing loss does it cover?

With its S/M/P/UP receiver options it fits roughly mild through to profound loss. Our audiologist confirms the right receiver power at your free test.

Will it cure my hearing loss?

No hearing aid cures hearing loss, including the flagship. The Sphere Infinio manages your loss and is strongest in noise; the loss itself remains, which is why free lifetime re-tuning is included.
