ReSound Key 362 RIE
The ReSound Key 362 RIE is the best-value streaming hearing aid on our list. Key level 3 is one of only two tiers in the Key range that carry Bluetooth Low Energy, so unlike the cheaper Key 1 and Key 2 models it streams calls, music and video directly from an iPhone and from Android phones that support ASHA. It is a light receiver-in-ear design on a size 13 battery, tuned for everyday listening.
What the Key 362 is
A plain look at what this model actually gives you, based only on its own spec sheet.
- Style
Receiver-in-ear (RIE)
A discreet receiver-in-ear design that sits behind the ear with a thin wire to the canal, lighter and less visible than a power BTE.
- Battery
Size 13 battery
Runs on a size 13 disposable cell, the longer-lasting size, so fewer battery changes.
- Streaming
Direct iPhone and Android streaming
Made for iPhone (MFi) plus Android (ASHA), so calls, music and video play straight into the aids from your phone.
- Spatial
Natural Directionality II
Keeps one ear more open for spatial awareness while the other focuses forward, so you can still tell where sound is coming from.
- Tier
Key level 3 of 4
The advanced tier of the Key range, one of only two Key levels with Bluetooth Low Energy.
- Limit
Not for severe-to-profound loss
ReSound does not recommend this style for severe to profound loss. If your loss is stronger, ask us about the Key 488 HP instead.
Who it suits (and who should look elsewhere)
An honest fit check, so the money goes to the right device.
- Good fit
You want streaming without overspending
This is our best-value pick if you want direct phone streaming on both iPhone and Android without paying premium prices.
- Good fit
Mild to moderate loss
The RIE design suits everyday hearing loss that is not in the severe-to-profound range.
- Good fit
You take calls on your phone
If phone calls and video are part of your day, streaming straight into the aids is a real quality-of-life gain.
- Look elsewhere
Severe to profound loss
ReSound does not recommend this style for the strongest losses. The Key 488 HP BTE is the better match.
- Look elsewhere
You want the aid to be invisible
A RIE is discreet but still sits behind the ear. For an invisible fit, look at the Nexia 4 CIC.
- Reminder
It manages, not cures
The Key 362 manages your hearing loss and makes speech clearer. It does not cure the loss itself.
