ReSound Nexia and Vivia cost the same at every level (₹83,995 per ear at level 4, ₹4,14,995 per ear at level 9) but target different buyers. Nexia is the first LE Audio and Auracast-ready hearing aid with the smallest ReSound receiver-in-ear; Vivia is ReSound's speech-in-noise flagship with M&RIE and Deep Neural Network processing. Choose Nexia for future-proof Bluetooth and small ears; choose Vivia for the best speech-in-noise sound.

Short answer. Nexia and Vivia share ReSound's current premium platform and cost the same at every technology level, so this is a form-factor and feature decision, not a price one. Nexia is built around LE Audio and Auracast, the next generation of Bluetooth, and comes in the smallest ReSound RIE case with custom in-ear styles.

Vivia uses the same base platform but adds M&RIE (Microphone & Receiver-In-Ear) and ReSound's Deep Neural Network speech-in-noise processing. If you want future-ready Bluetooth or a tiny or custom aid, pick Nexia. If you want the clearest speech in noisy places, pick Vivia.

Is ReSound Vivia better than ReSound Nexia?

For noisy listening, Vivia is the stronger pick. Vivia adds a Deep Neural Network trained on 13.5 million sound samples, and the M&RIE microphone sits inside the ear canal so you keep the natural way your pinna shapes sound. In busy restaurants and group talk, these two together give a more natural directionality than any ReSound before.

For custom in-ear and future-ready Bluetooth, Nexia is the stronger pick. Nexia was the first hearing aid in the world to use Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast, has the smallest ReSound RIE case ever, and is sold in ITC, CIC, IIC and BTE styles. Vivia is RIE only.

What is Auracast and should I pay for it?

Auracast is a Bluetooth broadcast that lets you tune your hearing aids into a public source — airport announcements, a theatre, a lecture hall — the way a radio tunes to a station. The hardware is ready; the venues in India are not, yet.

For most buyers today, the bigger Bluetooth question is how well the aid pairs with their own phone, not with Auracast. If you travel internationally for work or you expect to use it in big public venues from 2027–28, Nexia is the aid that will not need replacing when Auracast arrives in Indian venues.

How much is the price difference?

There isn't one at the matched level. Nexia 4 RIE and Vivia 4 RIE are both ₹83,995 per ear; Nexia 9 and Vivia 9 are both ₹4,14,995 per ear; the MicroRIE pair kits with Premium Charger are both ₹8,49,995 for level 9. The ITC/CIC/IIC custom styles are a Nexia-only option, from ₹78,995 per ear. See the full ReSound price list.

Which one has better speech in noise?

Vivia, by a clear step. The Deep Neural Network is doing more work on the signal than ReSound has shipped before, and M&RIE uses your own ear to help with directionality. In a quiet room both sound excellent. In a busy restaurant or at a wedding, Vivia 7 or 9 is the ReSound to try first.

Our ReSound Nexia review covers Nexia in depth, and the ReSound Key vs Nexia vs Vivia vs Omnia post is the right starting point if you also want to look at ReSound's older lines.

Which one is right for small ears or in-the-ear styles?

Nexia. It is sold in ITC, CIC and IIC custom styles that Vivia does not offer. Buyers whose ear canals are too narrow for a dome, or who want an in-the-ear aid for cosmetic reasons, should start with Nexia.

Across our ReSound fittings this year the pattern is clear: buyers who have asked us for Auracast or want the smallest ReSound RIE pick Nexia, and buyers whose main complaint is noisy restaurants pick Vivia at the 7 level. Both ranges go on and come off the same ReSound Smart 3D app, so moving between them in a trial is painless.

How to decide between ReSound Nexia and Vivia

  • Choose ReSound Nexia if you want Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast ready for the future, the smallest ReSound RIE, or a custom in-the-ear aid (ITC, CIC, IIC).
  • Choose ReSound Vivia if your biggest struggle is restaurant speech-in-noise and you want M&RIE and ReSound's Deep Neural Network.
  • Consider ReSound Key if you want ReSound's house sound at the lowest price; see our Signia Fast P vs ReSound Key comparison.

Final verdict

The price is identical level for level, so the decision is about shape and features. Nexia is the ReSound to buy if you want the latest Bluetooth and small or custom styles; Vivia is the ReSound to buy if restaurant and crowd noise is the real pain. Full ReSound prices are on our ReSound price list, and the ReSound Omnia vs Nexia post is useful if someone has quoted you the older Omnia.

Frequently asked questions

Is ReSound Vivia better than ReSound Nexia?

For speech in noisy places, yes. Vivia adds M&RIE microphone-in-ear and a Deep Neural Network trained on 13.5 million sound samples. For custom styles or future-ready Bluetooth, Nexia is better: it is the first Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast hearing aid and comes in ITC, CIC and IIC.

What is the price of ReSound Nexia in India?

On ReSound's 2026 India price list, Nexia starts at ₹78,995 per ear for the Nexia 4 custom styles and ₹83,995 for the Nexia 4 RIE, rising to ₹4,14,995 for Nexia 9. Prudent sells up to 20–30% below MRP.

What is the price of ReSound Vivia in India?

Vivia 4 RIE is ₹83,995 per ear and Vivia 9 RIE is ₹4,14,995 — the same as the matched Nexia levels. The MicroRIE kit (two aids + Premium Charger) is ₹8,49,995 for level 9.

Which is cheaper, Nexia or Vivia?

Neither at the matched RIE level. Nexia is cheaper if you want a custom in-the-ear style (ITC, CIC, IIC from ₹78,995 per ear), which Vivia does not offer.

Do I need Auracast now?

Not in Indian venues today. Auracast adoption in India is early; most buyers will not use it in 2026. If you expect it to matter in 2027–28 (international travel, large venues), Nexia is the aid built for it.
